REVIEW: Macaroni Kid Fun At Santa's Enchanted Forest

By G. Pridgen, Editor November 12, 2017

This past Friday night I had the opportunity to take my kids to Santa's Enchanted Forest. What a fun night filled with holiday spirit. We love the holidays and for years it was my family's tradition to go immediately following Thanksgiving dinner instead of heading to the stores. So many years have gone by, and now that I have children of my own, I thought heading down south to have them experience Santa's Enchanted Forest for the first time would be great. And great it was! It may seem far for a Broward County resident but, it really is not too different from heading down to South Beach for an evening dinner. We left a bit early to beat some of the traffic and we were able to get a decent parking spot (which is included in the cost) with plenty of time to enjoy a cheerful night of holiday cheer, rides, music, shows, and foods of all kinds.

The park is nicely organized with most of the Christmas displays towards the entrance, and mixed-in along the way towards the rides, are several food vendors. They have all the traditional fair favorites like elephant ears, funnel cakes, roasted corn, turkey legs, chicken fingers, and pizza however, there were many other choices that match our South Florida style, like Greek, Colombian, Argentinian and more. More about the Christmas displays, you could take a picture with Santa playing with bongos or you could take a photo-op with "Obi-Wan Santa" in their Star Wars Christmas set-up. There were plenty of traditional scenes to enjoy like the nativity set or the beautiful Christmas train scene. You may even find some snow somewhere along the path. The rides were great. Something for all ages from preschool to high school and moms and dads alike. My kids' favorites were the roller-coasters; the little kids version as well as the big kids version.

Santa's Enchanted Forest proved to be a wonderfully festive Christmas theme park with something for all ages. We may not have snow and cold weather for more than a day or two here in our sunny haven, but Santa's Enchanted Forest is sure to get you in the holiday mood.
