Review: Care Spot

I wanted to share a review with you on Care Spot, a local urgent care center in Coral Springs (located off University Blvd. and Ramblewood Drive). I was invited to take a tour of the center to find out about their services and how they may benefit us. 

We all have had those not so great moments when our kids get sick and of course, on a Saturday or even a Sunday when most pediatricians are closed. I was really pleased with what I found. For starters, Care Spot has 10 locations across South Florida. There are 4 locations north of us and and several locations in areas pretty close by:  Coral Springs, Tamarac, Coconut Creek, Pompano and further to the south, 2 locations in Pembroke Pines. Their hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily (yes, 7 days a week!). The only exception would be on a holiday and those days they would close at 5:00 p.m.

• 6 patient rooms
• X-ray capability
• On-site medicine dispensing
• E-prescription transmission to your pharmacy
• On-site lab processing
• Kid-friendly waiting area (with light snacks)
• Appoints can be made online or walk-ins accepted
• Doctors, ARNP's/PA's on staff
