Hurricane Ian

A Trail On South Florida

By G. Pridgen September 28, 2022

Greetings Macaroni Kid Families!

In light of Hurricane Ian, events for this week will be reduced in this week's newsletter. Some events in town are likely to be cancelled however, this weekend there are some events still taking place. For example, "A Day for Children" at Nova Southeastern is still taking place this Sunday October 2 at 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. as of right now. This is a wonderful event that has been on hold for years and it is finally back. If you are free on Sunday (weather permitting) please attend this wonderful family friendly and free event.

A Day for Children has a full schedule of stage shows, activities and displays from vendors from around the county. Head to the Alvin Sherman Library in Davie and you will find it.

Likely many of us may be in doors today and tomorrow. Take some time to rest, cook some good meals, get some errands done (if it is safe) or enjoy some live streaming! Stay safe. Here are some useful links as we watch the storm. We may not be taking a direct hit but we should remain alert for those tornado emergency warnings and possible flood zones.
